I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
( z% f" w6 D( x. iAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.
- R7 ^' B' p8 _2 G3 TFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
4 ]3 ~$ R5 y+ X" g- t7 Fone belonging to me
* E, x& \7 h' oand the other to my Lord.6 J/ f7 \% [: j; D) V1 h
When the last scene of my life shot before me3 A) a2 s8 r0 A- S& l: L8 x$ O
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
* Z/ T# _- q4 }2 E' R& k: ^* S5 kThere was only on set of footprints.
. ?6 h3 Z+ \3 q/ C2 V2 ~3 yI realized that this was at the lowest . n4 |- X* W# y3 ]$ }6 m
and saddest times in my life.
* N8 V# q0 ^" o! M- A% iThis always bothered me + y/ \  d5 v3 h) p6 V- K; \( W
and I questioned the Lord+ `* I6 t0 \% r; p! k+ W) {8 H$ \& {
about my dilemma.
3 @/ z& `$ E  v. o& f: W"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
2 n/ D9 Z2 b  u) |% pYou would walk and talk with me all the way.# i8 n- u6 H' x
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
6 G/ r+ d! @* N/ }; ]times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
, j3 V' d" r! zI don't understand why, when I needed You most,
2 D) g. m4 q5 j0 B" r# ]7 W' Tyou leave me."
