Lord,
! d! q* r1 O; l6 C; H! fhaving transformed
* B, r+ J& ^! {. W# k' o" \: jsunshine and soil and water and seed,
* Z, G/ C6 F- w5 x- `2 q$ j5 E- Finto food upon which we are soon to feed,
b3 K8 j$ C: m5 h7 l0 u. I; Cwe thank you for life and we want to stay well, 0 o! y( a9 H0 K1 U4 }4 g' C, ^
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.6 A3 e6 S/ o0 [
We who came first and are ready to dine/ _! k6 I: Z" E8 I0 ~
thank you that we’re not still waiting in line, % N5 Z/ W8 t! P4 j
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, 8 ? w7 d2 R! m& {( o, J
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.9 `7 K7 ]* Q0 ?) l, A8 P6 r( o5 a
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others
& e5 ]: y. K4 A9 y0 rthe way we were taught by our own loving mothers.- _3 y( q0 J' J. P% W- h
Now,
9 y" m/ q' u; i9 G$ d+ c3 D0 mWe smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted
' |3 Z. A9 }; `. A8 r9 D2 ethe aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted - l" q" _" N, ~
