I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
: O; G. M, e4 B0 n' kAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.
% O" O' P# a/ m) v+ r% h- X0 P  SFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,  f+ a- K1 X* T4 C5 N/ m3 E) W
one belonging to me
  s; y- e  V0 |7 t! o# v; tand the other to my Lord.
5 V& R: g+ C2 ]! W1 F8 I) UWhen the last scene of my life shot before me
% v2 {1 n" s. B5 aI looked back at the footprints in the sand.) p) j8 k. v5 G  G4 d) Z0 x% `; \
There was only on set of footprints.
) g/ t! d! J5 Z9 `I realized that this was at the lowest 7 R# d; {+ I# {: y+ n
and saddest times in my life.# [; `, t4 l1 l( Y8 n9 y
This always bothered me
# x+ F( S1 k4 V& V& B0 x, pand I questioned the Lord; V" V0 ?! T4 A0 ]
about my dilemma.+ o! }# L3 y" j2 t; X9 E
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,/ j7 @/ [) ~7 D6 G$ j
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
4 {, S8 h) h9 ^But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
! J) ]% v/ m, ]0 [6 s' ttimes of my life there is only one set of footprints., _; @4 |3 a% F3 G4 P' Z- k
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
8 d5 F1 Z0 Z2 Z6 Gyou leave me."' G" a6 B7 B; C8 w3 l' g
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,/ Z0 o" s6 i: ]& s  o) n( V% k
