% R" F, A' g* {& [% q2 f% N+ g. nI was walking along the beach with my Lord.) b- {. N9 x' s6 _9 v2 u, E1 L2 A
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.0 w4 [. N' H1 I
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,5 R; o) K0 U4 V
one belonging to me/ Z. |6 p3 a" a! \/ K$ w, p% W% E
and the other to my Lord.- d# Z1 z; x) C$ I8 O! `
When the last scene of my life shot before me
, m5 ^, ]$ T* f. E4 rI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
( }! U0 t8 [/ E/ U9 bThere was only on set of footprints.
: d6 Y. t6 Z, D! O# b  DI realized that this was at the lowest
3 l+ N1 z0 L/ f+ Kand saddest times in my life.
, j7 ]; I5 {) }! c$ gThis always bothered me
7 M8 R" E- ?# a& k- O2 o9 n( Qand I questioned the Lord8 G7 Y5 y: w8 D- R7 G- ~
about my dilemma.
+ ^1 s7 b# W" M# F$ X* I$ a8 g2 ]  b"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
' I$ c# m  V3 [$ o, P( ~0 lYou would walk and talk with me all the way.& r' L  Z, f. C2 `' k
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome 2 n( D  v( k0 P1 y
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.$ X& z$ [8 g3 Y5 c" @
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
& V5 O: G$ {, a* m* xyou leave me."
" t- N  D+ k4 bHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,, v2 M+ ~2 O. W6 E: H
I love you and will never leave you; j3 Z$ g5 i2 J" R* b6 L& _' p9 s: d
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.
