Footprints in the Sand ( b5 O% y: u O. n 2 v& h" |6 c4 U3 TOne night I had a dream - a! p6 q0 B" _2 [I was walking along the beach with my Lord.2 n7 ~/ L. Z) w* L$ [
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.; u, \5 F, {( Q1 b% R& y8 R2 R3 J1 I/ w
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, $ m; v3 S m& |) Cone belonging to me + j$ {6 L1 t& u9 \5 ^+ Pand the other to my Lord. # h0 N1 `1 i+ e1 IWhen the last scene of my life shot before me 5 p* _4 g3 |8 K3 @5 b# `4 uI looked back at the footprints in the sand. ( F9 i& ~5 j* ~! OThere was only on set of footprints. 5 e6 P+ b) I9 jI realized that this was at the lowest 7 H4 q0 s1 q3 |- b' J
and saddest times in my life. ! ^! y3 w) `3 v! K/ X1 F. BThis always bothered me * L3 n7 b- X" h- v# l' C
and I questioned the Lord% E$ |5 ?9 Y9 c S. Q- q8 l
about my dilemma. 9 a( P# J8 P. c5 Y, x8 f"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You, " l% G7 y. J) u7 E" d. FYou would walk and talk with me all the way.9 `6 r" d( d4 a& \! H
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome 4 R1 n/ k+ Y& f3 f' F( mtimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.# L9 [. t) Z4 Q8 C6 M( N* {
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, * G- N1 J# i, ?6 A! N
