In BC, 中医付的药钱 are eligible medical expenses. (include Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner)

Child care expense
1. you can not claim the following expenses as Child care expenses:
You cannot claim payments for medical or hospital care, clothing, or transportation costs.
For payments made to an educational institution, you cannot claim the part of the fees that relate to education costs, such as tuition fees of a regular program or a sports study program. Also, you cannot claim fees paid for leisure or recreational activities, such as tennis lessons or the annual registration fees paid for Scouts.
2. You can claim the following expenses as Child Care expenses:
You can claim payments for child care expenses made to:
•caregivers providing child care services;
•day nursery schools and daycare centres;
•educational institutions, for the part of the fees that relate to child care services;
•day camps and day sports schools where the primary goal of the camp is to care for children (an institution offering a sports study program is not a sports school); or
•boarding schools, overnight sports schools, or camps where lodging is involved

注册医生做按摩和针灸本身的费用是可以申报医疗费用的，当然不包括保险已经返给的那部分；但如果是中医给开的中药和其他的补品，税务局是不受理的。
我前几天刚处理了一个顾客的医疗收据，去年他们申报的中药和维生素一类的都给退回来了。所以今年他们就特别注意了，分门别类，列的很详细。
其他像看眼医、牙医、心理医生等都可以，只要有收据。

如果有其他问题，大家可以一起讨论。

请问父母探亲, 旅游签证，停留超过183天, 也买了旅游保险, 我可以退税吗？
我最近查了一些加拿大中文论坛的相关帖子，可报，不可报两种说法都有。可报的具体做法是:

1. Line 315 Caregiver Amount + Schedule 5 Details of dependants. Claim $4,223 for each person considering parents as deemed residents
2. Line 331 Allowable amount of medical expenses for other dependants. Claim the premium of medical insurance.
我用报税软件试了一下，可以报$2000多, 但觉得 too good to be true.

主张不可以报的人(还有是会计师的）说，这样报得到退税如果CRA review, 就会被要求退回，还有利息，可能还有罚款。原因是父母不被认为是deemed resident，不符合deemed resident要求其中一条，因为中国和加拿大有 tax treaty；退一步讲，即使是deemed resident ，那么他们全球收入都要报税，就是说他们还要单独报税。

有人知道，比较权威的说法吗？谢谢！

您写第一点和第二点都不符合税法.临时访问者的父母不能当成Dependant.当然就不能申报Caregiver amount和Allowable Medical Expenses.
The parent or grandparent must at the time have been a resident of Canada, and the tax credit is not available if they were just visiting you.

但是拿访问签证的父母在加拿大住的时间长了,一般1年以上可以单独申请退税.具体问题,可以跟我联系
