Footprints in the Sand

! [* r" H1 P$ Z( M  s! d) EOne night I had a dream
. g! s( d( i3 `9 M' OI was walking along the beach with my Lord.
. e" f  C/ B3 e$ L/ E  t/ MAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.2 `, g3 J5 ?4 @- R+ M% v
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,7 a2 L: ~& }; `1 {7 e2 e
one belonging to me  ^7 B3 {) ]3 g5 T5 y6 A7 O/ [
and the other to my Lord./ l  U1 `! x9 B, ^+ k  r* j
When the last scene of my life shot before me
0 d, a1 W3 E- R( v% z) @3 A6 b: GI looked back at the footprints in the sand.2 f0 @+ G) O, U" S$ c4 W
There was only on set of footprints.6 }; W+ D$ A( {! B( W. u
I realized that this was at the lowest 0 K& Q3 a  ~" l
and saddest times in my life.
" S# z% z; i. P5 L# k* l4 T% hThis always bothered me , H. |$ [, `; Q
and I questioned the Lord
+ S* O* }: ~( yabout my dilemma.
9 H$ |3 u9 s5 u2 u( f9 T- v"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
' b7 J- U, m+ ~7 F( Y4 z2 Y0 ?You would walk and talk with me all the way.) X: s- z" j5 L5 K6 Q
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
+ Y0 V2 g/ P6 dtimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.5 T# Y# V. q& v
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, 7 m' Q$ G  F# r
you leave me."# a/ ]$ K0 Z; {7 b6 f/ [
