Lord, % Y! d" }- E; e' }
having transformed
, [0 X; K F2 k/ h" Ksunshine and soil and water and seed,3 S- ^ p. O ^# d* Y
into food upon which we are soon to feed, 0 L; h. g9 r! f4 C9 w( X2 Z% Z
we thank you for life and we want to stay well, & u) ]* |. {- F* o
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.8 ?1 q" M: b$ S- t3 E1 ?, f8 |( @6 X
We who came first and are ready to dine
& H6 i ?( ?' ~, N- t% V- sthank you that we’re not still waiting in line, % H! `+ j" J; l) a) D
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, : ]0 m, B7 w- q
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.
$ X% j) |5 ?% b2 bInstead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others
$ f5 `0 P8 ]. G5 J* Tthe way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

* G# f: ~0 X- j+ gthe aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted
