9 S; j6 F# d( r+ ?' i% R  h. [One night I had a dream, l* h) c! m5 `
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.* u* u9 Q* z+ C- F. k' }9 H7 m7 K
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
' j" H  |8 L$ M1 R' h8 kFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
6 O0 r  [# o' `0 L$ c/ Z( c: ^9 kone belonging to me. V& \( e4 l/ U: |5 j, ~4 a* O' y' \
and the other to my Lord.
$ Y2 D$ d" j! W/ w9 b. [- Q7 s8 TWhen the last scene of my life shot before me8 \2 B# o; j) ]
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.; q% F' t$ ]$ {
There was only on set of footprints.
/ ^6 ?* t( S( s% hI realized that this was at the lowest
( ^. t7 r: g6 y/ T0 F$ E5 v# Yand saddest times in my life.: z6 o% g0 W: ^
This always bothered me   Z- \3 C) t6 s" s" _% O
and I questioned the Lord
& ]( k) k* J) ]  l  _' p5 Habout my dilemma.
: x  V* w. D0 p/ q6 H"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
) c8 y' j$ V, WYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
* I5 d: y! h7 n. l7 cBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome
, ~3 g2 d7 `: E8 ?" |% i  Vtimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.! M+ Y9 g0 p. K; c0 Z
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
9 v2 o' O* Y( Yyou leave me."% J  X" F, b1 _
