One night I had a dream
  l5 U3 J6 ~5 {; g6 t. W( a; lI was walking along the beach with my Lord.1 {7 }( T+ t. \
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.: J  \7 N# |% b+ @
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,, J" g- {4 N8 h; d, a7 K- [: y8 }
one belonging to me
. Q6 x6 a: j* ]: I! q) Jand the other to my Lord.% R9 @3 v% W/ r: c7 x3 `) t
When the last scene of my life shot before me
. Z0 Y& U8 _8 z% e. p. T9 s7 }I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
1 G3 p$ b2 c1 M- h5 n) RThere was only on set of footprints.% M# M! |/ D% o# R
I realized that this was at the lowest
# w; c! G3 o, Dand saddest times in my life." W, G& Z- c) D3 i# Y2 Y' l- p
This always bothered me
" D- l7 j* K* e/ N9 mand I questioned the Lord
/ c) R+ o# d( E/ S/ p) Cabout my dilemma.
* O; v1 |9 f3 S- g& G"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
8 L& H; h; ^% m* NYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
- w8 ^" e7 J% k0 V" R' M* }( qBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome
% A! R% }! {) K" U7 \" V+ `9 Qtimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
. k6 M. ]; z0 AI don't understand why, when I needed You most,   T  k; L4 t6 {" K9 @! @' |
you leave me."
  o/ s6 x+ F. N' W0 A% THe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
